It is requested the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chair to execute Task Order No. HB-008 in the amount of $3,847,902 for engineering services for the Hollywood Boulevard Widening from U.S. 192 to Palm Bay Road. It is further requested the Board approve any necessary Budget Change Requests associated with this action.

Summary Explanation and Background:
On August 20, 2007, the Board of County Commissioners entered into a Professional Engineering Services contract with Bussen-Mayer Engineering Group, Inc. to design a project known as Hollywood Boulevard Widening. The consultant provided design, bidding and construction management services for the initial phase of the project, Henry Avenue Intersection Improvements and Fell Avenue Intersection Improvements. Pursuant to the contract dated August 20, 2007, any future phases will be addressed as amendments to Exhibit "AA" Project Specific Scope of Services. The County desires to proceed with the next phase which is the final engineering of the Hollywood Boulevard Widening project.

Bussen-Mayer Engineering Group, Inc. submitted the proposal for the engineering services, as detailed in Attachment "A" of Task Order HB-008 in the amount of $3,847,902. These services will include preliminary engineering, final design, surveying and traffic engineering.
