Summary Explanation and Background:
The subject property is located in Section 23, Township 24 South, Range 36 East, on the north side of Mustang Way at Merritt Island High School.
The Utility Services Department’s Lift Station C01 is an aging infrastructure that requires rehabilitation. The project includes, but is not limited to, the removal of all electrical and mechanical equipment, abandonment of the existing dry well, installing a new doghouse manhole and associated piping, placing an existing brick manhole out of service, conversion of the existing manifold and piping, installation of a new pump station to support two submersible pumps, and replacement of an electrical meter.
A temporary construction easement is required to perform the construction of this project.
This acquisition followed the policies and procedures as set forth in Administrative Order 37.
