Requested Action:
Recommendation
It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners adopt the resolution amending the EEL Land Acquisition Manual Selection and Management Committee to update the membership composition and authorize staff to update the Land Acquisition Manual and Sanctuary Management Manual for Board consideration following the February 16, 2023 Budget Workshop to ensure both Board-approved manuals are current relative to the most recent referendum and consistent with any further direction from the Board regarding program funding and operations.

Summary Explanation and Background:
On December 20, 2022, the Board directed staff to add two additional voting seats on the committee for members with expertise in either business, finance or real estate and waived the Land Acquisition Procedure that requires review of proposed revisions by the EEL Procedures Committee and Selection and Management Committee.
At the request of the Board of County Commissioners, the attached resolution amends the EEL Land Acquisition Manual to include the two additional voting seats on the EEL Selection and Management Committee.
