Summary Explanation and Background:
Brevard County’s solar PV permitting fee waiver will be expiring on 2/24/2023. The timeline of Board action regarding the fee waiver is as follows:
• March 20, 2018 - unanimous vote to implement program for the length of one year.
• February 26, 2019 - 4 to 1 vote to extend for year.
• February 25, 2020 - 4 to 0 vote to extend program for 3 years.
The District 3 Commission Office requests Board discussion and direction on renewal options for the solar PV permitting fee waiver program.
