Fiscal Impact:

No rate changes are proposed for Hazardous Material Response, Fire Prevention and Inspection Services. Adjustments to the Standby Response Fees shall reflect the most current edition of the FEMA Schedule of Equipment Rate and labor rates defined by the IAFF collective bargaining agreements.

Requested Action:

Recommendation

It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners adopt the Annual Hazardous Materials Special Operation Team Schedule of Rates, Standby Response Rates, and the Fire Prevention and Inspection Special Rates for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2022.

Summary Explanation and Background:

The proposed Schedule of Rates and Charges for the annual Hazardous Materials Response, Fire Prevention and Inspection rates for FY 2022-2023 remain unchanged from the prior fiscal year. The proposed adjusted Schedule of Rates and Charges for Standby Response Rates are requested to reflect the most current rate schedule established by the FEMA Schedule of Equipment Rates and labor rates as defined by the IAFF collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

The rates and charges as recommended in the Resolution are projected to provide the following revenues:
