Direct staff to begin the process of modifying the Merritt Island Redevelopment Agency (MIRA) boundaries in accordance with Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes, including but not limited to Section 163.361, to remove the HealthFirst hospital complex to be removed] located on Merritt Island from MIRA boundaries and to amend the MIRA Redevelopment Plan accordingly.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Merritt Island Redevelopment Agency is a Brevard County CRA established by the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners in the late 1980s. The current MIRA Redevelopment Plan is approximately nine years old. It is requested that staff revisit the Redevelopment Plan and bring back to the Board the updated Redevelopment Plan and associated ordinance amending the boundaries of MIRA to remove the HealthFirst hospital complex located on Merritt Island and take any other necessary steps required by law.
