Recommendation
It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners execute a resolution amending the "Criteria for Water and Sanitary Sewerage Systems Within Brevard County" which also includes the section "Approved Manufacturers and Products," (pages 289 - 308) as standardized parts and equipment for this Department as it relates to new or replacement.

As it relates to this Department purchasing of the above-mentioned standardized equipment and products, it is requested the Board authorize the County Manager to execute all necessary contract(s), contract amendment(s), and extension(s) upon review and approval of the County Attorney's Office, Risk Management, and Purchasing Service, and to execute all necessary Budget Change Requests.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Brevard County Code of Ordinances Section 110-184 incorporates an Appendix titled the "Criteria for Water and Sanitary Sewerage Systems Within Brevard County" (further referred as "Criteria"). The Criteria contains design and construction standards for any system either which the County is taking ownership of or is connecting to a County system. Section 110-184 also states that the Criteria be amended by resolution of the Board of County Commissioners.

The Criteria was last amended in April 2021, including a revision to the format of the Criteria to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Consequently, the Criteria provide standard detail drawings and technical specifications approved by the Utility Services Department that can be directly imported into a developer's plan.
